Lesson 33 of 56

The Root Center: Pressure, Adrenaline, and Drive

Biological correlation: The adrenal glands; the base of the spine; the stress response. Function: The Root Center is a Pressure Center and a motor. It generates the adrenal pressure to get things done — a biological urgency that drives action. Defined Root (approximately 60% of people): Consistent adrenal pressure. Steady, reliable drive to act and accomplish. Potentially over-driven or stress-prone when not in alignment. Undefined Root: Amplifies the adrenal pressure of others. Feels the urgency of whoever is around them and can rush to relieve it. Not-Self: Rushing and acting under pressure that is not theirs — making hasty decisions, working frantically, living in stress trying to clear a to-do list that never ends. Wisdom: Understanding which urgency is real and which is borrowed — and being able to be still under pressure.
